Writing and life are not mutually exclusive. Truly living our lives out provides inspiration and wisdom. As Hemingway put it, “In order to write about life you first must live it.”
That’s why I think other bloggers do such a great job of putting together posts that are creative, enlightening and personal. They see the connections between life and creativity, and how they can draw on those personal experiences.
Follow Friday is a weekly series, inspired by the Twitter trend #Follow Friday. Each Friday, I suggest blogs that I follow to my readers. This week’s Follow Friday theme is the writing life.
These blogs give you little tidbits of life and wonderfully creative writing. I also love all of their blog names 😀
An Armchair Perfectionist: Prajakta Athavale is a blogger with an engaging writing style with touches of amusing anecdotes on everyday scenarios and deep, thoughtful reflections about life. I enjoy her deep-seated reflections, vivid poetry and personal stories.
This Thing Called Life One Word At A Time: Helen Espinosa captures life in her candid flash fiction and poetry. She is a mom of three children and participates in weekly flash fiction challenges. Her writing is so real and honest; something I really love because I don’t come across writing like this very often.
People, Places, and Perspectives: Alexis Chiuling works in the corporate world and loves to write. She named her blog People, Places, and Perspectives because this is where she draws inspiration. She has a collection of awesome poetry (I especially love her haikus), stories, a running journal called “Road to NYC: My Running Journal”, and of course reflections about inspiring people, places, and perspectives.
Enjoy your weekend everyone 🙂
